Capital Resorts Group reviews: Preparing for your first visit to the tropics

Outside the promise of tons of fun under the sun and an escape from the bitter cold, it can get a bit complicated to plan your first trip to a tropical country. Bringing swimming attire and flip-flops is not enough; you’d need to be more prepared by sneaking the items we’ve listed below into your suitcase.

Firstly, bring a nice-looking but correct attire. You don’t want to be overdressed and bring fleece coats and hoodies. It’s the tropics after all, so bring comfy sneakers, button-down shirts, loose t-shirts, and casual walking shorts. You may be on the trip partially on business, but there’s no need to involve a black tie. It’s better to dress business casual.

Never forget bringing a bug spray with you, as you’d probably go out to see the place’s sights and sounds. If you really want to espy wildlife in their natural environment, it’s best if you are protected by a good repellent for various insects. It’s quite hard to enjoy the view when pesky mosquitoes keep bugging you.

Bring both sunblock and sunglasses. Again, the sun will be blazing hot on most days; you don’t want just ending up miserable indoors because of a sunburn. Pack that sun cream and sunscreen. And protect your eyes from the glare with a decent pair of black sunglasses so you’d be able to enjoy the scenery more and not just keep squinting.

Lastly, packing both your medicine and the corresponding prescriptions is a must. You don’t want to get sick and just get the trip ruined. Pack prescription meds in their respective boxes so it’s easy to identify and make sure you’ve a good amount of ibuprofen, anti-diarrhea, and anti-dizziness tablets.
